The kids are back in school and fall is in full swing with football season.  Soon the temperatures will be cooling down and the days will be getting shorter!  Maybe we
have a little more time on our hands to do something we want to do!  (Wouldn't that be a dream!)   Fall fabrics are arriving and we are so excited about the new ones coming in.
Lots of new patterns are also arriving.  Sewing is a lot of fun now.  The prints, the bright colors and the styles let us exhaust our creativity!  From quilting to apparel sewing for
the little people in our lives!  Let us help you steer your creativity in the right direction!

Where has this year gone?  I can hardly believe it's September 2009.  Christmas will be
here before you know it.  Slow down (which I'm trying desperately to do!) and enjoy life.
I received the weekly email from our pastor today and he was reminding us to keep a focus on our priorities.  I've really thought about this today and I want to remember what's really important and what's going to last.   Why don't you give it some thought today.  Sometimes, we are just too busy.

Ok, so I'm new to this blog thing!  It's time to catch up with technology and start using what's available.  A new year is  a great time to pick up a new hobby like sewing.  Better yet, why not do with a friend.  A lot of neat friendships have been born over the years in the shop and it's really been neat to watch them grow.  We've got our new class schedule on the calendar so take a look at that page and see if one catches your interest.  Heirloom Techniques is scheduled for Sat., February 21 and we will be scheduling an heirloom dress class to start late February or early March.   Keep checking the calendar for the date.  

New spring fabrics will start arriving next week and there are a lot of new patterns  arriving.  Please stop by and check them out.  The sewing industry is changing and bringing along with it a passion for creativity.  I think sewing is becoming more fun than ever.  Stay tuned!Debbie
